Sustainability

Thoughtworthy Co is a tiny brand taking its first baby steps. We work with what we have and we try to do what’s right considering our small scale. There are, no doubt, plenty of compromises we have to make at this stage, but here are a few things we have taken into consideration.

Organic cotton, whenever possible.

We use 100% organic cotton (certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard) for our clothing whenever we can. These organic cotton are grown without the use of harmful chemicals, they use less water, and cause less pollution compared to conventional cotton.

Furthermore, the "Natural Raw" color option in our catalog are completely free of dyes and reflects the true color of the cotton plant itself. Natural Raw fabrics also use a gentler spinning process which uses fewer chemicals and consumes up to 920% less water and energy.

Non-Toxic Inks

Our 100% organic cotton garments are treated in accordance with Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex. This means no harmful chemicals have been used during the textile production process. Subsequently, water-based inks, which are biodegradable and free of toxic heavy metals are used during the printing of the shirt designs.

Recyclable Packaging

Different types of packaging each have their pros and cons, although unfortunately, not all of those options are available or practical for a small brand like ours. At the moment, we use untreated paper and cardboard to make them easier to recycle, but we'll certainly be exploring better options in the future.

Made-to-order

Our products are not kept in stock. Instead, they’re picked out and printed by our suppliers/partners whenever you place an order. This process increases cost, but it also means we don’t need to put leftover stock on sale for the sake of cleaning out old inventory, which would theoretically reduce wastage.

Shared Responsibility

Lastly, we'd like to ask for a favor — don’t buy our merch if you don’t actually need them!

It's true that this store is one of the primary ways for our audience to directly show support for Thoughtworthy Co, but please don’t feel like you need to buy our merch just for the sake of showing support. It would mean much more if you make a purchase because you actually love and need the products!
